They sure do not make them like this anymore. Classic Heavy Duty Machine. Starts on first pull and works well. It is ready for snow. Me , I ain't ready BUT here it comes , snowing right now ...

Agree that ARIENS made some of the best of such machines -- we never had one quite that big/heavy duty when I was growing up (in the snow belt) and I certainly don't miss the need now to have to own one. (*not* in the snow belt!)

One of the most amusing photos I've seen since was sent to me by a friend in central FL a few yrs ago, one of whose neighbors took a similar machine, painted it completely white, and surrounded it with a little white gravel 'rock garden' near the end of his driveway, where it now holds his mailbox. I just LOVE the irony of it all... ;-) <giggle> :-)

I did fire up the snow machine and made a path from the garage to house and the from house to the street

Snow was wet , heavy and over 6 inch deep. Did not want to snow blow very well
Now all is melting , rain for thirstday So hopefully will not need the machine again until the week end.

I am afraid if I had it by the curb , with a mail box or not , Ariens would get stolen...

Things could be better hereabouts , neighbors mower ran out of gas a few weeks ago. When they got back from gas station with petrol it was GONE
