Currently working on this with a friend. Clearly should be headed for a burn pile instead. But she is obsessed with MM Trunks.
The top was covered in metal; the rest of the body of this trunk was covered in a very thin cloth similar to a cheesecloth. Not at all like canvas.
Our friend thinks it’s worth the effort We’re not so sure - Any thoughts and comments are welcome.
Such as, why are we even attempting to care about this one. Is there anyone else who thinks we should try to salvage it?

I have taken on some trunks that were in pretty bad shape but I would have to pass on this one.

I don't believe this was an early attempt by MM, I think this is late 1880's or early 1890's it looks very much like a C. H. Taylor trunk, this could very well be an attempt by MM to compete with Taylor at the time, just a thought. one thing, I have never seen another MM like it.
