A needle disporting through diaphanous threads stitches a foison of amaranthine reign, imparting petaled diadems upon translucent heads, near which bees may bombilate in vain.
This lovesome jeune fille, mould 1160, is one of Simon and Halbig's most appealing belles. The doll's ecru and jet-black finery, forming a tight-fitting, triangular bodice and scalloped tiers of a floral lace skirt, circumvests her crocheted pantaloons, sawdust-stuffed torso and thighs, wire arms, and hand-painted bisque legs. Wreathed by chestnut-brown rag curls, a delicate, muliebrous mien is further accentuated by a pair of bold, effervescent glass eyes.
I, on eBay, from a fellow by whom automotive parts are primarily sold, purchased this doll for only nine dollars.
