I've reposted the pair of tri-cornered Peloton vases. These were photographed on my front verandah this morning. I'm experimenting with different light conditions to assist in representing their wonderful colour and design. Height is approx. 11 cms. They are made in clear glass with opalescence and are vertically ribbed around their circumference. They stand on petal feet. They are completely free of damage, remarkable in itself, because of their high points which make them vulnerable to chipping and breakage. The marvered multi coloured threading is densely encased within the body. To say it's profuse in its application is an understatement. I purchased both of them on-line from England a couple of years ago and they were only a few pounds for the pair.

racer4four, thank you. I was thrilled when they arrived. Absolutely perfect examples of their type. I can understand why you like them and yes, the colored threading is amazing when it's scattered through the clear and opalescent parts of the body.
Newfld, thank you. They're small but they have an impact! Beautifully colored threads make for compulsive viewing. My only example of peloton but one can only hope to find some more.
IronLace, apologies for the late post. They are special aren't they? To have survived intact for so long is miraculous. I might put up some more photos of them later to do them justice. I don't think I will be lucky enough to get another pair like them. The seller who sold them to me didn't know what kind of glass it was [initially thought she had the one vase only] and then she put the second one up the next day - nearly fell off my chair! They were never listed as a 'pair'. But as you know, that's how it sometimes happens. Serendipity.
They were a wonderful find indeed. We are often very fortunate as collectors to be gifted by chance on certain occasions...it makes all the searching, so often fruitless, all the more worthwhile.
