Sometimes I like collecting glass in themes. These items were made by Stevens & Williams from about 1890. They have been purchased on-line from both England and America. They are made by marvering yellow [citrine], ruby and white canes into the clear glass body. Most are rose bowls and there is a small jug. The smallest bowl is particularly attractive, when held up to the light. You have to be lucky to find a good example of this glass. Only the jug and the smallest bowl have a polished pontil, while the others are snapped. The black residue [scale] from the punty iron is still there - some say a sure sign of age. The familiar S & W box pleat top can be seen on one of the vases and the bowl. The largest rose bowl is 9 cms high and 10 cms wide.
