I love Karu Fifth Avenue jewelry, but one doesn’t see much of it. There is more Karu-Ark available.
The metal appears to be brass. Surprisingly, this piece still has all the tiny seed pearls intact. I was amazed. The green glass cabochon isn’t scratched up on the front or back. It’s in surprisingly good condition. I read Karu Fifth Avenue is their earliest mark starting in 1940, so am guesstimating this as one of their earliest pieces. It’s quite dramatic and weighs a ton. It hangs down about 16”. I’ve seen several similar pieces with blue glass, but none with green or the seed pearls.

Thank you everyone for taking a look at my awesome Karu piece and your thoughtful comments. I’ve been remiss in responding as have been up to my eyeballs with my continued wallpaper removal and painting projects that took forever. But it’s done and I will never, ever buy a house with wallpaper again.
