      There were two different standard silver companies so a picture ( good picture ) of the mark will tell which one made this.

      Thanks. Image of silver stamp added to original post. Hopefully clear enough. I have cleaned as best I could.

      OK, thanks. The mark is Standard Silver Co. Ltd, Toronto which was founded in 1883 and merged with Acme silver in 1912. That should give you enough information to pursue your research accurately.
