I'm sharing a wonderful birthday present: 26" double strand of white, striped, yellow and brown heishe, turquoise, orange and blue sponge coral, MOP, and assorted colorful stone beads and chips of hemitite, amber, jasper, lapis with little MOP birds.. Circa 1980's. It arrived the day before my Arizona trip so is in a selfie at Gila Bend, our first stop. (I take awful selfies) Wore it to Tucson Saguaro Nat'l park and beyond - thank you dear friend!

It sounds like you had a wonderful road trip. Just going to Sequoia for the day was so refreshing! How can one sit inside day after day? Can’t do it, it’s just not healthy, right?
Yes definitely Arizona. Gila Bend is where the UFO diner is I believe.
Eileen - so true! Great to get outside and "blow the stink off". My mom used to always say - waving her cigarette around "can't you kids just go outside and blow the stink off". Bless her 1970's heart. We went to Arizona at the right time, not too hot. Did a lot of hiking. I can see why so many want to live there when it's 70-80 degrees. LOL
Thank you friends for your loves: dav2no1, Kevin, Thomas, Fort, Phil, Manikin, Elisabeth, AnythingObscure, Malkey, Aura, and Six! Thank you for stopping by.
Yes Fort - it is still there! I checked it out on another trip 4 years ago. We ate at a great local Mexican and another Italian restaurant. No bars in this town by the way. Also, I enjoyed Yuma that has a neat old downtown and the famous Territorial Prison museum. On our road trip we didn't see any cool old cars like you did. I do love Route 66!
Same with Sequoia! It was in the 70’s, perfect for a long winderful walk/ hike. My Daughter just showed me a picture and it’s snowing there!! SO BEAUTIFUL!
I told her let’s go and stay in Tharp’s “tree house”. Maybe we won’t get caught! All she said was..”Brrr”. Ha!
Very beautiful Val! It is delicate and have nice colors.
Great necklace Mary. I love these types and have a necklace w matching earrings but the earrings are clips. Conversion time! I have way too many things that need fixing, maybe someday. xoxo
Beautiful piece! Zuni?
Eileen - hiking and road trips are good ways to get away and be reasonably safe!
Elisabeth - yes, isn't it a wonderful present?
Share - hello! Have you posted your necklace and clip earrings? Do you think this is 1980's?
ho2cultcha - thanks for you comment, I don't think it's Zuni.
