Last SEQUOIA post...promise.
Photo One— this grouping of giants is called “The House”, remember we took “The Congress Trail”, but only for a couple miles, then went off paved trail to see other treasures. These trees look like someone just put them there, like they’re just sitting on top of the soil, amazing!
Photo Two—coming back near the start of the trail, ( the touristy part), you go across the bridge and through a fallen Sequoia. If you look close, you see where people carved names/ initials into the tree...my Daughter and I were saddened by this destruction...people suck)
Photo Three— Less than a month ago, it was in the 70’s, my Daughter showed this to me yesterday! So beautiful and serene, I want to go back!
Photo Four— Local hike, very hot day, ( why he’s in sandals) Very proud with his own back pack and water bottle, my 4 year old Grandson...sweetest boy on the planet!
Ok, that’s all! Everyone stay safe out there, but do get out and as Mary says “blow the stink off”.
It’s a beautiful world out there, I’ve just shown you a small part of mine :)
Wonderful photos and forest!
Beautiful area. I should go back there some day.
Amazing nature and nice photos! Oh I really see how sweet your grandchild looks with his little backpack, proud and on an adventure :)
Beautiful. so gorgeous. Love it all.
Thank you to all for putting up with my “not so vintage” photos. Just needed to share a part of my world in these precarious times...

Thanks Mary, as you have been here yourself, you know the magnificence of it all!
Yes, fort! I plan to return and camp out under these amazing trees next Spring, after the snow melts and the creeks and waterfalls are running! Yay!
Awe, thanks Elisabeth! He really is the sweetest boy. Before I leave after a day of sitting, he has to go through this ritual with me. First hug, then eskimo kiss, then “the brain thing” where he wants to press his forehead to mine. Sounds silly? Sure, he’s 4! But he tells me, “it’s love Grandma”...
Gorgeous is the word Maureen, so many sights to see, you just have to get out there. Next stop, the Redwoods, then if everything is open next year in Vegas, The Valley of Fire, my Daughter and I were supposed to go this year, but because of the virus.....
No, it doesn't sound the slightest silly! It sounds completely wonderful and lovely!
Awe Elizabeth I just now read your comment from a month ago. How very kind you are dear!
