Wow, that is spectacular. Those green stones ( what’s that shape called? I thought baguettes but that’s bread, hmm, no)
I like the Fibonacci ratio of the shape.

I really like the shape, at first though Egyptian eye? Maybe, but I do love the color.

Racer4 - appreciate the math lesson. learning every day. Lori

I can see an eye in that shape there and a really green eye at that- it kinda reminds me of the all-seeing eye or something? It's a very unusual and nice design

Agree with Lauren, center looks like an eye! Very pretty green stones in this

Thank you Karen for the fabulous compliments, the green stone shape is actually square or emerald cut, being a different green I didn't want to confuse in the description (now changed it). You were on the right track with baguette though, besides being a delicious French bread, it is also a smaller thinner square or rectangular rhinestone, often used as an accent stone like as a dog's collar or to exaggerate something. Great Fibonacci comparison, I googled images of swirling ocular shapes in his ratio sequence, very cool and I can see it in this off center brooch design

Thank you Lori for the great compliments, yes Cleopatra's eye is a good choice and esp the Nile green color! Math was also not my strong suit, great to learn about these classic scientists and their formulas we're so lucky to have the internet and friends who help us learn

Lauren that's a great image, the all seeing eye - wasn't there a mod art painting of a single eye with graphics behind it, way cool! I think the designer wanted an eye shape but deliberately put the swirl eye shapes & over-under green stones at off center angles to make an artistic statement, perhaps like Picasso, it's intriguing. Thanks for your super comment, you always get me thinking :)

Hi MrsT and thank you for the very kind thoughts, I am really glad you enjoyed this "eye-piece" (lol), and agree the mint green stones are lovely, nice to see this different green for a change

It is very elegante and beautiful. Green is a wonderful color and I am happy to see that the centre stone is green as well.

Lovely design with such delicate colour and superb use of negative space!
(It might be fun to shine a UV light on this sweet puppy to see if the green stones are uranium glass. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it's possible they are.)

Thanks also rhineisfine for your terrific comment, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this unusual Wiesner brooch. As this is from a few yrs ago I have to look around for it, but will definitely try it under UV light that's a great idea!
