    The Gilmark X-43 Space Rocket Car was produced in the very early 1950s.
    Vibrantly colored, streamlined, jet-propelled vehicle of the future!
    Seemingly molded out of some of the most brittle plastic available, I'm amazed that this has survived all these years with its wheels and stabilizing fins intact!
    Notice the unusual method for securing the wheels. Gilmark used this with all of their vehicles at the time.
    Not to be confused with the equally cool X-42 seen in the last photo. That one has an opening and closing cockpit! (X-42 photo from toyconnect.blogspot.com)
