Beautiful BUTLER Fifth Avenue Collection Brooch and Earring.
This set is paved with rhinestone tear drops swirling around green shades of abalone in golden finish.
Signed BUTLER, and the earrings have an adjustable slide clip-on marked FAC, (Fifth Avenue Collection) I believe these slides help adjust the tension of the clip-on. The Bulter family operated out of Canada.
the last picture shows the back sides, sitting on top of the box I received it in: JB Hudson Jewelers. the brooch set and the Jewelers are from Minnesota.
This is lovely Lori! I had an abalone necklace I wore everyday back in my surfing days, ( yes, I surfed as did everyone else in Avila growing up)
The colors are so vivid and combined with the pave set rhinestone makes this a work of art. ( only sad thing is abalone is nearly extinct, being over- marketed, back in the 40’s-50’s abalone was so abundant, the shells were tossed over the side of the pier and there were so many, the shells reached the surface!!) I have pictures! ( I didn’t take them I’m not that old)
Makes this piece even more precious!

Eileen - thank you for your comments and thoughts.
Growing up in Sonoma County before the ban on catching abalone - I can say there were so many shells around, its too bad we don't behave better as humans. But the beauty will never be forgotten. Lori
