I found this clock at a pawn shop, for a really good price! I have it at my clock guys for cleaning. So can post more pictures when I get it back. Its dated 1862 on the back of the pendulum. I have never seen a pendulum like this. I think it's a barometer? I don't think the barometer still works. I love clocks, I have 10 now.

Nice Gilbert. Thanks for sharing. The pendulum is not a barometer. The numbers are a scale to give you an idea of what extent of regulation adjustment you are making when you turn the regulation nut on the bottom. Note the "F"ast and "S"low arrows? When you get your clock back and fine tune its time-keeping speed make adjustments per the scale and record the result in number of minutes per day.

Thank you Bruce, my clock guy usually sets it so it's running at the correct time. Or at least very close to it. I see this one has an alarm as well. I do not have much experience with those. Other than I was in an antique store once playing with one. Scared the whole store when it went off! I need to get a different key to wind that. Thank you for your help.

Yeah, they are jarring. I think that folks may have may not have completely re-wound the alarm's spring when they set it since once it goes off, it keeps sounding the alarm until the spring winds down.
Your clock guy will be able to supply you with the key you need. He may even have or can make one double-ended key that will work for your clock.

Yes!! The whole store jumped two feet, at the sound of the alarm! Including myself ha. But antique stores are usually full of old people. So lucky they only jumped and didn't fall down. Thanks for your help!
