Ms.Crystal…

This time of year, I usually shy away from spending on myself, after all, it is Christmas, and I have 3 wonderful Grandsons, but...when I saw this piece and the price (!) I had to buy it.
This brooch is 21/4 inches, set in rhodium, light blue navettes encircling prong set rhinestones in tiers in the center. This is from Kramer’s “Empress Collection”. This brooch came in other colors, ruby red, emerald green, and clear, besides my blue! Now to find the earrings to match! This brooch is in mint condition, and being 68 years old ( or 56), I’de say that it has been taken care off all these decades ago!
Circa-1952/ 1964
ENJOY!
UDATE: I always do my best to give accurate info on all my posts, but it seems I have a conflict of dates here. Though this piece has no copyright, so dating it pre-1955, and I saw one like it in clear rhinestones, dated “1952”, the Empress Collection came out in 1963! I came across another brooch claiming to be in the EC, but no copyright on that one either, and they say so! Then I found this Mother’s Day ad by Kramer...1964! ( please forgive the photo, from my phone) So is my brooch from 1952, and was never retired up until the mid-60’s? Confusing, isn’t it? Either way, it’s a beautiful piece, don’t you think? :)
It's such a beautiful piece Eileen! Everyone should treat themselves every once in a while.
I thought trifari at first, but they were already using only glue and they used false prongs on their pieces by this time. Saw one by trifari similar, but no way, as the quality was not there. Its a spectacular piece that only you deserved to find, glad you jumped when you saw this beauty !~
I hope you were able to copy the ad out for your esteemed collection, such beautiful blues !~
Absolutely gorgeous, love the blue accent by clear. very nice
It is beautiful, Eileen!
Merry Christmas to you!
So sorry for the late response, but these days have been crazy busy, with little time for online. This is my last post for a while, with so much suffering going on, I can’t seem to get myself to buy, buy ,buy, when there are people out there losing there homes, and children going hungry. This is not to reflect on anyone. These are my feelings, and I am entitled to them. Jewelry just doesn’t interest me right now. ( I will continue to comment, just not post for a while) But I am so thankful for all who have loved on this simple Kramer Flower brooch...

Scott, thank you for your kind comment, Yes, one should treat oneself, but I am done for a while. I can’t explain it.
Mary, my friend. Always there with a sweet word. Pale blue is not a favorite color of mine. So much blue jewelry out there, but it’s Kramer! Lol
Phil, yes, all prong set! Like I have said, you have spoiled me. I tend to look for only prong set pieces. Then again D & E kept using prongs until close to their closing shop. I won’t buy their newer pieces..
Thank you Lori! Kramer did have a way with color! I have a emerald green piece I might post, just not right now.Maybe after the first of the year.
MrsT. Your collection has always been one of my favorites. You seem to find pieces we just never see! This is a common piece of Kramer, but pretty so I thank you dear.
This piece really is a true treasure to cherish, the quality unmatched for this piece, and the blues are like pure blue ice, real candy for the eyes. Makes me want to collect these beautes myself !~
Phil, a compliment coming from you always puts a smile on my face. As the man with the most esteemed collection of jewelry on CW, you honor me, my friend.
This piece will continue to spike interest for a long time, timeless. I've always loved Kramer when I first saw a set for sale, pristine. Even the colour is perfect, a very desirable jeweled flower for you to find !~
