Can anyone help me identify what kind of knife this is?

It's 7 1/4" long and has a wood handle with a wood sleeve. There is a hole in the handle that maybe there was a some type of cord that went through it which makes me think this is a necklace? There's lines carved in it with paint that's faded and what looks like an egyptian eye carved in the handle.
