This pair of owls brings my very best wishes to all CWers and your families for peace, joy & good health this holiday season!
The light green lucite owl brooch is 1 3-4"L on textured silvertone with rhinestone accents, signed Hattie Carnegie (1939-1970s) who turned from dress design to jewelry, this piece ca 1960s

The Snowy Owl...is that a Christmas card? Its GORGEOUS!!!! As for the little minty green owl, I love the colour, it's so soft and cool- the eye look so sharp and glaring actually, just like a real owl! :D

Thanks Lauren for your super compliments I am glad you liked both these owls - yes the snowy is a card, and I thought the brooch could also be a snowy with its round head (there are many types of round head owls tho, including the barn owl) so figured it's a good Christmas owl combo. You are so right, the jewelry owl has staring eyes and that would be because they are aurora borealis which is a very reflective stone, good eye there

Lol Karen, I am always trying to hoot on, keep that motor running hate this inactivity forced on us by covid. However we had a big early snowstorm a couple days ago & my brainy hubby decided to garage the car, so I have been busily shoveling and ice chipping our 40 ft driveway about 3X day in below freezing temps, if that isn't hooting on I don't know what is!
