Sand Painting of Hummingbird by Willard Price
I have had this forever.. cool painting made with sand. I was cleaning the glass and was a little crooked in the frame.. so I opened it up. I forgot that it was signed and titled by the artist.
I don't know anything about Willard Price, but it appears he has done a few similar style sand paintings. I think it's 1970s? Still researching artist.
The basement is starting to get filled up. I guess I've been buying a lot of art lately. Starting to organize some...got several birds on the wall.

I love this sandpainting. Im not familiar with the artist but can tell you, for me anyhow, this is a unique one I've not seen until now. I've got 9 sand paintings, not nearly enough!

I have admired this painting since I first saw it! The fact that it is still intact, speaks volumes to the quality of the artwork. And the fact that others besides myself enjoy this today, also reinforces the timeless image that the artist created.
