This was a great find for me these days, the Ruckl green spatter glass pieces are rarer than the other colors in this multi color decor. As I have said many times, the applications and manipulations vary but the colors do not.
That is why I am combining several pieces here so you can see for yourself, the choice of specific glass colors is the same, often made with different applications such as combed, left with large areas of big spatter chunks, or very small glass spatter bits.
The label confirms once again the premise that the Royal Art Glass label in use after 1920 WAS NOT a Welz glass brand, but a distributor's brand who exported a variety of Czech glass items, pressed and molded. At this point we have about 20 examples which are identified as Kralik, Welz, Ruckl, Stolze, and unknown (Steinwald was not considered).
My opinion is that the distributor was from an English speaking country where ROYAL would have a positive significance, such as Toronto, Canada or other commonwealth country during the 1920s.
Image 1 are 2 matching shapes of Ruckl glass vases, one in the green spatter and the other in the yellow spatter, image 2 are 4 examples of the same decors, image 3 is 5 examples of the same decors, and image 4 is the label which seems to be a green paper type with the ROYAL ART GLASS deco label on the base of the larger green vase. This label has nothing to do with the American company Royal Art Glass of New York.

If anyone wishes to have all the documentation we have gathered over the years regarding the Royal Art Glass label found in the German Glass Lexicon, under the glass producer Franz Welz, done in error, with the research and findings available from my own archives, from the rucklczglass website which is no longer published.

Good post. Thanks for adding another piece to the picture. I showed up in the middle of the discussions about this Royal label. Maybe when the label was first discovered someone suggested that because it was the same shape as a known Welz label, it could also be a Welz label. As the discussion developed, any idea of it being exclusively Welz evaporated and it was accepted by most of us to be a distributor's label.
