I found this cute little bowl recently. I think it's Swatow, but i've never handled Swatow ware before there is some fritting on the rim. I love the painting on the inside of this! i could be way off on it though...

be back later takes a few weeks, i can,t see edema sort of klapmuts wanli see rinaldi , a sort of 7.2 or 8.2 around 1600

This is a very good example of kraak porcelain made during the Ming Wanli reign - between 1565 and 1620. excellent example too, from what i can discern.
this is exact to pinpoint, quadroblister cartouche, inverted rim, sunflower +scroll symbols-bird chalkrock , non kraaikop, non taotie this is for sure made between 1600-1620 a slight chanche of early tiangi, and not Chongzhen (with a C!) because the clear bright cobalt is missing, aqndso this is not 1573-1600 period
good condition a bit common scene for the rest see Rinaldi , because there are a lot of types, well done
I don't think it looks Chongzhen. i think it is clearly Wanli. Why do you say not taotie? there are two of them on the rim. The gritty base, barely visible chatter marks, the bird design and even the circles / dots point to Wanli. ??
first of all i am talking taotie as part of the whole scene display inside the bowl.
second taotie see eight precious things and eight buddhist symbols
i state it is Wanli , and it is Wanli exactly between 1600 and 1620 so not early Wanli

thanks for the clarification apostata. i'm not sure i understand though. The 'taotie' are the two little faces along the rim, right? were you referring to the type of bowl it is, and there are some known as taotie?
aha now i see what you mean i thought you meant the blisters, sure you are right , and the sunflowers could be what call an Mu Dan is a sort of blossoming peony
but in the West it was thought to be sunflower , because of the salvage of the D, Witte leeuw
there are a lot of riddles in the chinese plate and the Mu Dan is actually look here we are we are loaded rich , and we are dissimilar from the vulgus
