My boss would probably hate it (and me) if he knew I was showing this here <giggle> but it's otherwise 3 pieces of a couple cardboard posters that have been cut up to otherwise hold single pages of sheet music taped on their blank backsides. They were recovered recently by the organist of the church we're currently working in while he was otherwise sorting thru boxes of somebody else's music collection he inherited, and shortly after ended up on top of the console of our new organ much to everybody's general amusement... <giggling again>

"The Stalneckers" were apparently a quite popular (noted contralto Betty, pic2 lower center!) couple that traveled around the USA in RV's doing revival sorts of things...several many decades ago. What makes it the mostest-funnest for *me* is best seen near the upper center of pic3 in black lettering -- even though part is sliced off, I can **plainly** know that part used to read "FEATURING JOE AND SHIRLEY NICHOLS, INSTRUMENTALISTS". [and that very same Joe is now my boss, I've met his now long ex-wife Shirley too, and their lovely daughter, and mebbe even Joe's grandson, that's a way cute little guy!] Joe played various kinds of fancy electronic organs (or whatever the church they were in might have had, he's also way familiar with various HAMMOND organs though he resists admitting that, I know otherwise anyway too?...) and I think Shirley played the piano.

Sadly the exact year of whatever show this one was didn't survive the slice-n-dice, but it is a local church still here I drive by frequently though seldom work at. Another funnish moment the other day was when Joe first climbed out of the inside of the new organ and noticed these laying there -- I'd been sitting at the keys when the organist appeared holding them so had already had my chance for the initial (quiet) "*wow*, where'd you get *THOSE*?!" but he only made the remark "oh, I've seen (or got, or remember) that, where'd you find them?" as nonchalantly as possible... I had to nearly bite my tongue to keep from busting out LOL -- and y'all better believe I'll be looking to latch onto these for mounting in my own picture frame around here somewhere, along with any other cutout parts that might not have been found yet... (organist guy also mentioned he has two more boxfuls to sort thru...)

Also for the record (bad pun) the Stalnecker's et.al. did apparently produce several LP albums back in their day...I've been searching for one/any of those for **years** too...they prolly have all the same names on the record jackets somewhere, *plus* audio...wouldn't a little clip of any of that make for a fun 'surprise ringtone' to suddenly start coming outta my phone, just for one more WTF look from my boss...? <LOLOLOLOL>

I can tell that this little find is going to provide some fun for quite a while. :-)

That's certainly my hope WS -- but it hasn't quite been long enough yet for my personal 'appropriations committee' to 'disappear' them...I'l be watching and waiting until that moment might happen, I hope...

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the “committee” to come thru for you. :-)

OOPS, Watchsearcher...just added another pic and I guess the 'committee' must have met, because it doesn't look like the same background as before...??
