Big bang cannon toy from the 1950s or 1960s in very good condition. This big bang cannon box and instructions are also in good condition, my only concern is if this cannon is original or a replica? I hope its original because I was reading someone post pertaining to the big bang cannon that replicas are prevalent. I only paid $80 for this cannon thinking that I got a good deal, I need to test this toy to see if it fires. I need to do more research or if someone on this form who is knowledgeable about this vintage piece.

That is awesome..there's one for sale locally I've been watching.

As a kid I couldn't afford one. So...being creative...used a coffee can. The old metal ones with plastic lid. You use it upside down, drill small hole in bottom for fire cracker. A little bangsite inside the plastic lid, spit or water drop. Close lid, light firecracker on top and run! Will launch 100 feet..I know cuz dad had ham radio towers. If you didn't use too much you could use the can several times..fun times!
