These birds were all recently sold to a collector friend of mine but of course I still miss them!
Multi Glass were, and are, the Japanese masters of glass birds. The blue pair in the last photo have been made in the smaller revived Multi Glass studio, post 2000. The other more ornate birds on branches were made before 1999 when the original Multi Glass Company was still operating. The artist who made these retired when the company closed down but had spent some time training the current artist continuing to make Multi Glass birds and animals.
I think them all so beautiful, and like most Japanese glass very well made. I am finding it harder and harder to find the old MG bids on branches, and their price is increasing. So they should, the quality and style are so good.
Small birds are generally around 10cm high, the birds on branches between 30cm and 40cm.

Magnificent awesome MG beauties, all birds are equally gorgeous yet each piece is so special and the branched designs exceed Murano quality. Karen your fabulous birds are starting off the new year with a joyful bang!

What a revelation, I have small collection of large Murano birds or fowl, gifts to my hubby over the years, but these Karen are just wonderful. You keep us well informed about glass we are not so familiar with.

      Just gorgeous!

I find the groups absolutely delightful, the birds so graceful. It's not at all surprising these pieces became a specialism. More education for me!

I'm glad you like them Jenni, and your little pink bird is MG also. Thanks my friend.

The yellow birds are fun how they are posed aren't they Scott! Thanks for the love.

Mani, thanks, I'm glad you love them all.

Short and to the point, thanks Dean!

I find the Multi Glass birds are simpler in some ways than most Murano birds, but as beautiful and impactful. Nice comment thanks Lisa.

We are always learning Peggy (we hope!) They are certainly statement pieces.
      Thanks for the love.

Thanks MsCrystal. I'm always missing posts, no worries.
The artist who made these at Multi Glass was always good at getting personality into his animals. Glad you liked them :)
