      Hi, lrfroude. :-)

      A gift, huh? Cool.

Per the International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society (ISMACS) Singer serial number tables, serial number G9306855 was one of a block of 25,000 serial numbers (9291001 through 9316000) that was allotted March 20th, 1922, and they were all destined to be stamped into the beds of model 127 machines at Singer's Elizabethport factory:

That your machine is a member of the VS1, VS2, VS3, 27, & 28, 127, and 128 family of machines is readily apparent to those who are used to looking at vintage Singer machines. It has the tell-tale trapezoidal access panel, the circular needle plate, and the dual slide plates:

The high-mounted bobbin winder narrows things down further to either model 127 or 128.

However, even if you don't know various Singer models on sight, you can use the Sandman-Collectibles' Singer Sewing Machine Identification Template to identify about 18 different domestic models of Singer sewing machines (along with some sub-models thereof):

      About the VS1, VS2, VS3, 27, & 28, 127, and 128 family of Singer machines:

      About models 127 and 128:

A manual for the model 127 and 128 machines:

The decal set on your machine is called "Sphinx":

Your cabinet is Cabinet table No. 2:

      http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/cabinet_table_no_2-3.html

I don't know whether you're interested in replacing the missing front slide plate, but modern replacements are available:

If you prefer an original part, you'd have to scour eBay, Craigslist, et cetera to find one.

Here is a collection of vintage sewing machine links that you might want to peruse:

But it's a lot to look through, so if you have questions, don't hesitate simply to ask here in a comment. If I don't know the answer (I'm actually not an expert), I'll go out there on the Intertubes and look for one. :-)

Thank you so much! I found the missing front plate in the drawer and installed. Also, amazingly, converted to electric she runs even the bulb lit! I'm so tickled.

      lrfroude, You're welcome. :-)

That's very good news about finding the missing front slide plate.

However, I don't see a shuttle/bobbin in the open compartment. Did you find one of those in a drawer? It should look like this when it's installed in the machine, e.g.:

      https://oldsingershop.com/products/singer-127-128-sewing-machine-shuttle-bullet-long-bobbin-case-simanco-part-54504?variant=32213901869092

      https://www.vintagesingerparts.com/collections/singer-model-27/products/10-long-bobbins-part-8228

It's a bit tricky getting just the right replacement shuttle for that family of machines, so if you find the original in a drawer, that's like gold.

Here are some more pictures of the shuttle and the shuttle carrier:
