this is a beautiful dome brooch constructed in tiers that allow the light to shine off every stone at every turn.
The brooch consist of little butterflies formed by 2 marquise and a brilliant pink round. The center is a pink round stone circled by smaller round pink , then the marquise formed butterflies start encircling the center.
SHERMAN marker, and as the title states "Pretty in Pink" - the only color is the AB pink. Lovely.
this brooch bears Kitchener, Ontario as the origin I bought it from.

Totally gorgeous Sherman brooch, what a terrific design and those delicate pink rhinestones are awesome - lovely find Lori

This piece must have some stones which are regular pink with no ab. ?? Thats the way he usually did it. Beautiful brooch no doubt. I was not buying pink for some time but lately have been buying more than a couple which caught my eye. For some reason it is more of an aquired taste. I like crystal pink more than the rhinestone usually. Some designs however, like yours, is captivating in pink. Lots of Sherman seems to come out of Barrie !~

The design with the butterfly ends make it look like the overdone version of a Maltese Cross which I see through the filled in sides. No nice and not too rarely seen.

The height of it when laying down with all the 3-4 tiers going up high is where Sherman gets top marks in a brooch, something not always accounted for !~

      dear Phil -
I am so grateful for input and the information and the kind words in you comments, thank you.

Yes - there are some of the pink stones without the ab! so discretely it was hard to see until you pointed that out. the smaller round rs are a deeper shade of the pink with ab.....
.....the way that Sherman constructed his pieces are amazing. this one has the ring on the back that holds the first tier together (and yes is does look like a cross) before he attached the next tier. He made them to last that for sure. Well I can say that all that beauty in one piece it should be forever.

      Barrie?
      thank you - Lori
