Hello I have this antique engraved stone from ring and I think the design has something to do with the masons but that’s all I know, think it’s carnelian, detail is great but need strong loop to see it properly

I’d say it was stripped of its gold mount .... Masonic for sure.

Thanks vet for confirming that it’s masonic, has a small bit of damage, I think might have been done when it was demounted. Wish I could have seen it and wonder how old it was. How they engraved this is amazing, I think it could be worth something as these are collected.

Undoubtedly carnelian and without doubt masonic. They are a series of symbols that represent the masonic "working tools" which in turn represent the Masonic view of the universe. For example the compass and set square represent the concept of "as above, so below" or "on earth as it is in heaven" if you prefer. Each of those symbols has it's own meaning which when combined demonstrate Masonic Cosmology in it's entirety.
      Hope that helps

      Agree it is masonic.

Once ring mounted, so used as a seal.
