This is literally a 'where the heck did THIS come from?' item I spotted in my basement this afternoon while digging something else out... <groan> ...I'm still not completely certain where it came from or how long ago, but I *think* I know...?? ;-) :-)

No matter that. Here it is anyway, an old black and white "panoramic photograph" which has been professionally framed long ago, its backside is (taped once or twice, but otherwise blank) plain brown paper. In its simplish black wooden frame it measures almost 39" long, but only 7-1/2" high. There are absolutely no visible marks on its back or the photo itself to indicate a date, who the photographer or framer really were, nor the location and subject matter -- all I know about it is what can be seen on its face.

To that, my complete and total guesswork and/or observations with it in hand, on its way to a wall. It is a grouping of early 1900's looking homes perched on a slight bluff at the edge of some body of water and/or beach. (a corner of which appears in the lower RH corner) Lower center appears to be the top of a 'beachhouse' type structure with a 'boardwalk' and steps leading between it and the homes above. The mix of deciduous and evergreen trees suggests a more northern than tropical location.

Does anybody recognize anything at all about it, or notice something I've missed so far? It is a very detailed photograph and there's *lots* to look at even with the naked eye?! <lol>
