By 1956, Parker Brothers were assured that this "Disneyland" thing wasn't just a passing fad!
So they made games out of TOMORROWLAND, FANTASYLAND, FRONTIERLAND and this one, ADVENTURELAND!
You and your little painted metal swamp boat meander along down the river, gathering pictures of animals and jungle scenes every time you land on a camera icon!
Just like the Jungle Cruise Ride at Disneyland!

Back when game pieces were made of metal, not plastic or paper!
I played a game of Chutes and Ladders with my Grandson the other day and was appalled that the figures were made of paper, and could hardly stand up! They just don’t make things like they used to.
      Great Post, thanks for sharing!

      Ms.CrystalShip, when I was 7 years old,
I was given a game that had cardboard playing pieces.
I thought the end of civilization was near!
It really made a difference in the perceived quality of the game!
I expected ALL games to have pieces like in Monopoly.
      Hard, metal, serious playing pieces!
      There oughta be a law!
