Looking up from my office chair....I see a full can of Anti-Freeze.
Unopened.
Spur......Murphy Oil USA
It reminds me of how cold it is outside today.
We had 25 below 0 F this morning....Brrrrrrrrr.....
The Cardinal outside my window doesn't mind the weather and could care less about what I collect.
I was on a meeting with our world headquarters in Minneapolis this afternoon and they were all telling me about these crazy low temperatures!!! It was a balmy 18* here in central Kentucky this morning.
At -25 you may need to open up that can of anti freeze! Pretty bird has its own winter coat :)
Thank You jscott0363 and Newfld for stopping by to leave kind comments!
@ jscott0363 .... my company headquarters is also in Minneapolis....Nicollet Mall area. It is -17 F this morning in the Twin Cities. I have -22 F where I live in MN. I can hardly wait until we reach a balmy 18 degrees F again :)
@ Newfld....you are always so kind...a true joy to have on CW. I have two pair of Cardinals that hang out around the property. Beautiful birds....especially in the winter with the males bright red color contrast to the white snow.
Thanks All for the Appreciation who stopped by. I really do appreciate it!
My favorite bird. First at the feeder in the morning and last in the evening. Male and female couple, one feeds while the other watches over the other and then they switch. They live up to fifteen years so I have had several long term relationships with certain cardinal couples in the 22 years I have been in my home.
Thank You kwqd for the great comment about Cardinals. They certainly are a joy to watch. During heavy snowfall the Cardinals find shelter in my row of arborvitae trees. Occasionally they will muster up the courage to fly to the feeders for some bird seed.
Thanks All for the additional “Love It” clicks. I really do appreciate it!
Thanks All! More "Love It" clicks.....Nice!!
So it looks like your giving Anti-Freeze to the birds to keep them from freezing … I started to late this year but as soon as I saw a blue j with a length of string pulling a sparrow around the yard to give it a jump start ..I knew I best get some out there … ..nice short of the bird.. Anti-Freeze in a can who knew…smiling stay warm.
