Here is the third of my Welz trio...I actually scored this one for nothing as the dealer hadn't priced it yet, & kindly gave it to me as a bonus for buying in bulk. I have been so lucky over the years that way...
This one is quite different to the first two vases, with a classically inspired urn or amphora shape.
It measures 16.5 cm tall, 4.7 cm across the top rim, & 5.2 cm across the base.
The vase is made from three layers of cased glass - clear over pink, beige, & dark red/oxblood spatter, with a white interior.
There are two clear applied handles which lend it an elegant, dainty appearance.
In perfect condition.
Last photo shows the happy trio all together, displaying the many moods of Welz spatter glass - vibrant, bold, & demure.
Now, I'm already planning my next trip to town which involves a certain shop...maybe this weekend? :-)
