Here is a 4"H bright blue and clear controlled bubble glass cat with raised tail by Mantorp Glasbruk of Ostergotland Sweden, with original 1970s label

Love the animals, glass makes them that much more special.
Very cute cat- the raised tail is so sweet, it reminds me of those really expensive cat breeds(a Persian?!) and she DEFINITELY wants attention from her owner- she's such a beautiful blue colour too :)

Thank you Lori for your great comment and enjoying my glass animals, yes they are pretty special to me too as I love to see their various shapes & colors, and the interpretations by the many glassmakers. Of course, no replacement for the real ones, I am someone who can't pass a pet store without going in & seeing the cuties :)
Thanks so much Lauren for your super compliments & agreed the raised tail means this kitty wants to be noticed! That aqua blue with bubbles is a really nice glass, it is found pretty often in Swedish glass I also have a little Mantorp swan like it
Scott thank you for your wonderful praise & yes it's crystal, not as heavyweight as some of my other animals - the recent Wedgwood penguin posted weighed a TON, probably leaded glass
Thank you Karen for your fab comment & great observ about the cat's face, it is very finely shaped and amazing how they shaded it with blue (the blue is in the face, not a reflection off the body). Mantorp's animals are not really large but are very nicely made, and the good thing is they often used colored glass rather than clear in their animals
Lol couldbe the tail does sort of look raised as a skunk would when about to spray! I'm very glad you liked the color too, blue is always nice and serene in glass. Thanks for your really nice comment :)
