Here is the Iwachu fan themed trivet that accompanied my Iwachu persimmon themed kyusu. This nabeshiki (trivet) is 5.75" long on the two shorter sides, 6.5" long on the long side and 5.5" from the end of the handle to the middle of the fan. It has the Iwachu mark on the back. Most of the fan trivets I have seen have tassels on the base, usually blue or purple. It provides adequate space to resting the teapot. As I mentioned previously, I don't really like these fan shaped trivets, functionally, but they are pretty.

I would handle the lesser function to have the form.
So appealing in so many ways.
You have opened my eyes to Japanese iron ware, Kevin. I never knew !

Thanks for your comments, Karen. I am still learning about Japanese metal ware. I have not yet found and good research sources so am making some assumptions which might well be wrong about marks, etc.

Thanks Eileen! Yeah, I won't use this one or the other fan trivet in my collection.

Thanks jscott0363. I like the turtle design, too.

Thanks for loving my Iwachu turtle trivet Kevin, Watchsearcher, aura, jscott0363, Eileen, Thomas, Hoot60 and Jenni!
