I have lots of deer antler that I turn on a lathe and otherwise carve and this doesn't look like any antler, deer or otherwise I have handled or used.
hi fhrjr2. i added a photo of the top view which shows the inside of an antler - i think. have you seen Indonesian antler carvings before? there are lots of examples online but none look quite like mine.
maybe just bone?
Now you have me more convinced you actually do have a carving of antler. The different zones are more pronounced on the new photo. They may be well defined in pic #3 but my eyes are starting to fade so based on just #3 I would have said no but the new picture pretty much convinces me. Thanks for adding it.
