Yes it is the infamous Ford Edsel which is best known for its failure. Their are probably Edsel fans out there who hate hearing about why it was a failure. To me it is a good looking car. Doesn't look as much like a rocket or jet like the other cars did. The one thing I recall from a Charles Phoenix video was the strange speedometer. When you go to buy a car you do the test drive and the car is hard to drive you check out another car. Ergonomics and all that.
An odd thing is that this is 1/65 scale as I believe Racing Champions is made by Auto World known for their true 1/64 scale models. This one looks like circa 2000 before the true 1/64 scale trend began. I think the current high detail die cast makers are going with true 1/64 scale.
In the meantime someone would be driving in style with the real one of these.
