Hello everyone!!
You saw the first of my antique Japanese cast iron hares yesterday. This is the 2nd of those two. This one is my favorite of the two. I really love the pose of this one. As I've mentioned in my previous posts, bronze was scarce in Japan over 100 years ago, so they cast their sculptures of cast iron and finished them to resemble bronze. This one is also quite detailed. It measures 9" long, 6" wide, 7 1/2" tall and weighs approximately 7lbs.
