Here is a 9"H amberina glass bird on wavy pedestal named Bird in Flight aka Thrush, item #4401A by LE Smith Glass of Mt Pleasant PA ca 1980s, from original KR Haley Glass mold from 1947

Pretty with the two tone effect!
I have a clear glass one like this .. I like it with color..nice finddddddd...enjoy the day.
I never realized this was a bird until I read the title- I'm still seeing a tropical fish! :P
(I have fish on the brain!) :D but now I see the little bird, maybe a swallow or swift? The colour's are lovely though, and unusual, they have a two tone look to them, like a flame? Or a phoenix?!

Thanks MrsT for your great comment, yes the amberina color in glass is very pretty with two or three warm color blends, one of my fave glass varieties
Thank you Shuzbut for your super comment this bird must also be lovely in clear glass, it gives that illusion of flying over water almost like a gull and yes, it sure was a lucky find for me
Lol Lauren, again you're right I can see an upward fish tail in the bird's wing angle! Flame color is a good description for this glass, it has a deep red center than the wings become gold, I thought it was a nice version of this bird, and it is also called a thrush. Wonderful comment & keen observ as always, thanks so much
Scott thank you for the warm praise and very glad you enjoyed this bird, he is hollow inside the bottom but still rather a heavy piece, gotta watch which shelf I put him on to keep him safe
