    I found this tiny little mortar on ebay a few wks ago. It's less than an inch in diameter and hollowed out and polished so perfectly! At first, i wasn't sure it was stone or pottery, but it clinks like stone and looks like it w/ a loupe. I wonder when it was made and by whom? Found in Tennessee and sold as a tiny paint pot.

      thanks Watch. not the right shape or size for an iud, i'd think. this little stone bowl is TINY! i could swallow it easily.

      I'll stick with Indian IUD. I've run into them (excuse the pun) that felt as hard as a rock. Don't guess this one folds over ?

      The way this is made causes me to think it is a rustic ( poor man's ) Asian tealight.
