Creepy picture no one in family recognized her was in grandma’s stuff wrapped in an older newspaper and stuffed in back of picture book. My grandma believed we were cursed and believe it or not she predicted her death, two years early and thought it was her son. It is crazy but she told me that Donny was going to have cancer inside him they were going to try to remove it and it was just too much and surgery would kill him. Donny had normal stents out in heart no cancer then two years later grandma goes to get a blockage in lower intestine removed and she had cancer they found that they tried to remove but it was too much she woke up in icu and was told she would be lucky to have time to say bye they had removed 3/4 of her gut and she lived barely 24 hours. She was gifted and I was always telling her she was “crazy”! Now I’m the crazy one trying to figure out who this is and why I feel it’s so important and why no one recognizes her?

This is an ambrotype-- early form of photography that was popular in the US from about 1854- 1865.

The image is on a plate of glass and a black background has been applied to turn the image into a positive image.
