Could someone tell me about this? I am finding Rabone Chesterman items online but can't find anything like this.

According to the gracesguide website in the United Kingdom, your lovely piece was made sometime from 1963 through 1970. In 1963, John Rabone and Sons merged with James Chesterman and Company, establishing the joint Rabone-Chesterman agreement. Again, in 1970, the conjoined companies acquired a third-party member, Fry of London, once further altering the company's title.

After searching for the descriptors of the piece--its being damasked with diamantes, an enamelled motif, jelly-bellied rooster, et cetera--I, like you, received no comparable results. Someone may have, I do believe, replaced the tape measure inside.

Are there any markings on the back side of this piece?

There is nothing on the back
