Last week I visited family in Minnesota. We prowled through an out-building, a workshop probably the original house on their farm. It's full of stuff: tools, stoves, hardware, broken bits, garbage, treasures! - but they are not quite ready to empty it. Here's a few interesting things.

    Pic 1: Saws.
Pic 2: Fight bloat porcelain sign, a Model T wheel, oars, 3 other random tires.
    Pic 3: Football cleats.
Pic 4: Metal racecar missing front rubber wheels.

I've been through this workshop before, everytime I find a new treasure. It all stays there until they are ready to pull the building down.

Scott - yes, me too! I found the metal car this time digging through some stuff, so I put it in the rafters for the next explorers to enjoy. I think the workshop is 100 years old.

We had an old “workshop” in back of the property in See Canyon. As a young girl, I went in there and found two little porcelain dogs, maybe an inch long. Very dirty! I have them to this day. Ha!
Love all the saws, way before chain saws! The one with the wooden handle is priceless! From days gone by....

Eileen, old workshops with tables and tools are really great. I WANTED some little things like your little porcelain dogs but I didn't ask and it wasn't the right time. There were 2 amazing workbenches and handmade wood tool boxes. It was Fun to explore!

Thanks also to everyone who loved this post - officialfuel, Vynil, Dave and EJW

Just one of the many things that got me hooked on searching for Treasures my #1 Mary, that this post reminds of, was back in the mid 1960's when my Oldest Sister was going to Chico State, we were visiting her there and she brought by this old abandoned Garage, that She had found while traveling the sticks :^D it had two large hinged doors, with lots of small framed windows, in each, but so dirty that we could hardly see in, she pushed one of the doors and it squeaked open and it was full of antiques, old treadle sewing machines a few 1920's Cars, but nobody had been in it for years, I wanted to go in and check it out but my Sister was afraid that we would get caught, I took a good look in and we left, I went Back there in the the 1970's to see if I could go in to it but the building was gone, and all those Antiques and Treasures too! I felt cheated that I never had the chance to Buy some of them, or even look through them! Now I always take my time to look through things to find any buried Treasures! :^D Thanks for Posting! :^)
