    I have 30 of these pins, brooches or what ever they are. Each one is a different design but all with the same pin and hook on the back. They were
    handed down from the family but no one knows where they originated or from whom. I am hoping that someone can identify what they are and what they were used for. It is a wonderful collection what ever they are.

      Hi- I know the style is Art Nouveau, and I think that it is a shoe buckle- I am guessing this based on the original hook, not the safety pin that was added so that it could be worn as a brooch. I could be wrong in that it's a buckle- but the style is definitely Art Nouveau:).
