My sil gave me this lamp. I think it's beautiful but I know nothing else about it. I would like to know more about it.

I think (pretty sure) it is from the 80's when they were bringing a lot of this style in. Does the base glass light up also ? The metalwork in the bases was excellent for that time period. Some of the time the base lit up also, and they ususally used a nice metal light diffuser at that time.
