    Any information on the K mark on this old handforged hatchet? The K has round dots at ends of the K.

      Possibly a trade axe and very old, circa 1800. No clue about the K.

      Could be for Kiowa, but that is only one guess. I know there are more modern replicas of these, I have one my dad bought at a mountain man rendezvous in the late seventies or early eighties. Mine has no markings and is fairly plain.
