    Birch Tree Drawing

    Visible Art: 11" x 8"
    Circa: 2009
Artist: W. Thorn ( more research needed)

Picked this up because I thought it was well done. I have an older piece that's similar that I will post soon. Don't know anything about the artist.

Very well done, nice painting. Good perspective. I like the transition from dark to light purple in the sky. I'm also a sucker for birch trees and winter scenes. Probably 2009, not 1909, though. Have you had it out of the frame?

i don't think that they tap white birch for syrup...? black and yellow birch - yes. and the 'water' is delicious too. this is a lovely painting of birches! when i was a kid, my family owned a cottage named 'Breezy Birches' at the end of a peninsula on a lake in nh. i LOVED spending time there.
