This slender brooch is 2 inches (5 cm) long and 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) at its widest.
According to Global Gemology's jeweller database, the 'HSB' stamp (picture #3) stands for Harry S. Bick, a jeweller in NYC from 1947 who worked in both gold and sterling silver. Therefore, this brooch can't be older than that. From its style, I think it dates to the early end of his production period.
A lot of HSB's jewellery features flowers or plants. However, occasionally you find more abstract pieces, such as this vaguely Art Deco brooch with its two tiny aqua rhinestones and slightly "gimlet" appearance. I liked the sleek lines and the simplicity of the two small stones.
