These were an early passion and are not the most frequently seen of Chribska bowls.. They are made using the Italian sommerso technique, which essentially means colour within clear crystal glass. If that's wrong please correct me. These examples go from simple to very complex.
Image one, a four lobed foot, essentially two sides with a simple colour merge.
Image two, a three lobed foot, three sides each with a bulge rising to a rim in three sections. The centre of each section being pushed inwards. The foot, only the foot, has a pink tinge.
Image three, a five lobed foot, again with a pink tinge. The lobes morph into a thickening, bulging rib and then divide into a rim of five arcs.
Image four, a twisted, six sided foot in clear glass. The body is peach coloured and its outer clear casing is pulled into six heavy lobes. The green tinged rim has dished curves above each lobe.
I've tried to describe each bowl as the combination of complicated shape and reflected colour makes them a nightmare to photograph without distortion. All were hot worked at the furnace to a design, though obviously each will be slightly different. These are Czech glass and produced over a long period due to their popularity. The CW category system does not allow Czech glass.
Very approximately they are about 6 inches high by 6 inches across.
I've never seen the bowl in the first photo.This must be rare.

The bowl in the first photo is oval and the rim is in two halves, which adds to the 'feel' of it having two halves. The 'pattern' in the blue part isn't there to the naked eye but is picked up by the camera.
Well done you have well captured the skill of Hospodka in his optic games.

Vetraio, I love the work of Hospodka and appreciate the compliment. However I think it's virtually impossible for an amateur to convey the effects he achieved on his complex shapes.

Gorgeous glass. Hospodka certainly was the master at using worked clear glass and enclosing colour to highlight.
I love them all and like Ivonne I haven't seen no 1 before. The colour combo of no.3 is new to me also.
Hi Karen, The design in image one was sometimes called a jardinière. Like other Czech makers Chribska would interpret a design in the form of a vase (2 or 3 sizes) a bowl and a jardinière. However this is the only Chribska jardinière shape I've ever come across.
