1. In the middle of January 2021, a very nice lady texted and asked if I would like this set. The set was originally purchased together. It is now in my care. If worn at all, there are no signs of such. May 1, 2021.
2. I am adding this Sherman set to use the photo spaces available for this post, while sort of keeping to the colour scheme of the initial set here. This set is colloquially called the Giant Pinwheel Set. Sherman, however, never named his sets (that I know of). This set is gold plated and in Mint condition. The Hyacinth and green Olivine are non-AB stones. But there are AB crystals, so that places creation at post-1955. I have had this set for a very long time, before 2010. Brooch is 3” round; Earrings are 1 1/4” round. August 4, 2021.
3. It is summer as I edit this, so I am adding a Sherman kite set as the final item. Not to be confused with Swarovski “kite stones,” which Sherman used for some of its creations. See my bird sets elsewhere on this site for example of the kite stones. This kite set, in Emerald and Montana, is a rhodium set with a rectangular cartouche, and is in Mint condition. I tried to do a three set layering of Emerald and Montana sets; but I don’t know how to handle the software, as yet. August 4, 2021.
***I need to address something here, even though I am embarrassed to have to do so: If you follow my posts, you will note that many of my positive comments on the posts of another Sherman collector on this site have been erased by him. That is all fine. It’s his decision to make about his own posts, He has now, further, asked that I do not ever add comments to his posts or Like or Love them. I will respect his request. But I just wanted to tell all readers that I am not being rude, and ignoring posts of other collectors: he has told me to stay away! It is so sad when people get all twisted over something that is supposed to be fun … like jewelry collecting. There are many many Sherman jewelry pieces; enough for all who love the designs. I wish all collectors good hunting and the very best discoveries. :) *** August 4, 2021.
