I found this set a couple weeks ago and gave the wonderful lady who owned this set an offer, that she accepted! The colors speaks for themselves, do they not? So many shades of amethyst, purples, lavenders, lilacs to mention. The brooch and earrings are on the cover of Katerina Musetti’s book, “The Art of Juliana Jewelry”, along with the big necklace to this set. I have the small necklace. Yes! This is considered the small one, Ha! It is set in beautiful gold tone, and you will just have to take my word for it, as I didn’t want to turn the set on their crystals. There isn’t a sign of wear, no scratches or chips anywhere! This lovely set is nearly 60 years of age. And for Mary ....the brooch is 2 1/2 inches to be worn vertically, the earrings are 1 1/2 inches, and the necklace is 16 inches. The focal crystals in this set, as you know, are lovingly called “watermelon” by collectors, ( not heliotrope!!) and D & E are famous for them. The center crystal in the necklace is an inch in length! Now to hunt down the bracelet!
UPDATE: Read that this set was first seen in 1960! ,not 1964!
