Antique I think, maybe Asian , the this brass lamp caught my eye immediately, with its decor . it looks like either a koi fish or serpent wrapped around the shaft of the lamp , and I have read also a dolphin . what you think it may be or anything helpful . thank you Lawka

Nice lamp!! Hubley made a doorstop in the early 1900's that looks nearly identical to this. Hubley referred to their design as a Dolphin. Have a look at the link below.
