It is now four decades (1981-2021) since the close of Sherman Costume Jewelry Company, the company started by Gus Sherman in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1947. Collectors continue to discover his creations in a variety of places, in a variety of matching piece arrays, in 2021. I have included four Sherman design configurations discovered in Canada during the last decade. These are considered the “short necklace” sets among those that were created in the workshop in Montreal. Those in that categorization range are generally between 15 - 18” in length. All sets marked. Mint. May 21, 2021.
1. Blues — Wide Bracelet; Earrings are 3” Long.
2. Alexandrite — I had difficulty photographing this set. The colour washed out. So I placed a Cardinal bracelet and earring set beside it to show … bring out the light purple.
3. Blues — The large butterfly was not originally part of this set, was rehomed to me in 2020; and I include it with thanks to the original owner, and his gracious permission to post anywhere (of this week). May 22, 2021.
4. Clear and Black Diamond Four Piece Set.
