My old pink flamingo is disintegrating so I needed a new one. Plus this one is a bit different so I would have bought it anyway. Do not think it is old but it is not new. The legs have some rust in the bottom wear they were in the ground.
Now some background. Pink flamingos are favored by the upper class who show off their wealth by the amount of pink flamingos they have in their front yards. Alas I only have two.
The new flamingo is in the first two photos and the old in photos 3 and four. As can be seen the back is crumbling away. I fear the thin air up here does not protect the plastic flamingos from the sun very well. The old flamingo is more of the classic flamingo but the new one will do.

As evidenced by the gnome’s expression, it very sad when a flamingo crumbles away. {:^(

And there's that pink flamingo we've been awaiting. Very cool. I want one, but my wife absolutely refuses to allow it:(

Thank you very much Watchsearcher. It is indeed.

Thank you very much Scott. Obviously your wife does not want you to flaunt your wealth.

I don't think I've ever heard that story about 'upper class' folks...?? (I've got a pair, and they certainly don't signify *that* in my life..?? <lol>

Oh yes AO. It is mostly old money that has the flamingos. The Vanderbilt's have thousands in front of their mansions.

      Alas I have no flamingos.
I do have live white ibis (aka bin chickens) around my house. Does that mean I'm wealthy? Does it? Huh? Please?

I don't have a link to show it (I'm not a member there) but I think Amazon currently sells pink plastic lawn flamingos...??? ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Around here we have everything from pink flamingos to storks to Ibis. Putting a plastic bird in your yard is a sign of a cheapskate wanting to impress someone. Usually seen in the ghetto.

Thank you very much fhrjr2. What about concrete animals?

Thank you very much LazyBoy.Our biggest birds are eagles, they do not seem to cause a problem. Love that link to 50 pink flamingos. I am certain the neighbors would be envious.

I did not know of the HomeDepot availability of a 50pc "bulk pack" of lawn flamingos LazyBoy...a good friend of mine runs the Pro Desk at one of our local HD stores...it'd be SO potentially amusing just to order the things?? <lolol>

As to what anybody would *do* with so many (beyond re-selling, that is) my only thought is a kinda 'prank activity' I've heard of called "flocking", whereby a 'victim' ('flock-ee?) finds themselves awaking one morning only to discover their entire front yard has been overtaken with, well, an entire FLOCK of pink plastic that's been surreptitiously planted there during overnight hours. SURPRISE?!! <LOL>

For reasons I do not fully understand at all, I've heard of this activity taking place popularly amongst two seemingly completely diverse general subsets of people -- "homosexual groups" (that one makes sense, kinda?) and "church groups". (that one eludes me, for the most part...??)

Thank you very much Ms.CrystalShip. It is a sign of belonging to old money and the top of the upper class.
